Pellet 3D printing as easy and comfortable as filament printing.
The Auto Pellet Dispenser supplies granule feedstock, whenever the LILY Pellet Extruder needs it. For this to work fully automatically an IR level sensor can be connected to the dispenser PCB. For the LILY Pellet Extruder our open-source PCB code computes the IR level sensor signals and efficiently controls the feeding sequence. The granule feedstock is rapidly supplied in bursts of few seconds, which allows for the system to switch to stand by mode between opeartions.
Air Pressure Regulator
Air The air pump regulator knob allows to adjust the air pressure to the feedstock weight and geometry. As well as to the feeding tube length.
Mini USB Connector
The mini USB connector gives you the possibility to upgrade the code version and/or upload your own.
IR Level Sensor Connector
Automatic triggering of the dispenser is possible via the IR level sensor connector.
The Auto Pellet Dispenser utilizes its own electronics board and power supply. It requires no power from the printer or connection to the 3D printer. This removes compatibility issues and make the Auto Pellet Dispenser a true Plug & Play system.
Electronic Brain
The independent electronic brain of the Auto pellet Dispenser is our self -developed, open-source and ATMEGA based PCB (ATMEGA32U4-AU)
NEMA 17 Pancake
The NEMA 17 stepper motor allows for precise movements, which ensures controlled dispensing of pellets into the conveyor airflow. This ensures reliable and consistent feedstock supply to the extruder.
Long Distance Feedstock Travel
The 7.5 Kpa and 240 L/min max capacity of the DC blower generates an air flow strong enough to carry granule feedstock across a 3m distance between dispenser and extruder or through a up to 5m long feeding tube.
